The Lux Style Awards 2012 hosted the glitterati of Pakistan’s entertainment and fashion industry for a night full of glitz, glamour and more. The host of the evening Ahmed Ali Butt kept the night rolling with his witty jokes and kept the audience in an amusing mood.
This time around the LSAs had a green carpet entrance to link with their freshness campaign for the summer. Celebrities posed for pictures, dressed by and large in formal dresses with gold, black and white as the foremost theme.
LSA 2012 Nominations & Reviews
As the award categories started, the anxiety amongst the nominees prevailed. The ‘Best TV Show’ category saw Momina Duraids play ‘Mera Naseeb’ and A & B’s production ‘Mera Saeen’ fighting for the award. While the ‘Best Actor (male) saw Faisal Qureshi winning the award for the serial, ‘Rog’.
For best female actor, the award seemed to be going to Aaminah Sheikh for “Umme Kulsoom” or to Savera Nadeem for “Quid-e-Tanhai for her dialogue delivery and outstanding body language. The latter took the cake.
The ‘Best TV Director’ category saw three favorites, Sarmad Khoosat, Babar Javed and Yasir Nawaz striving for the award amongst others. Highly praised “Paani Jaisa Pyar” saw Sarmad Khoosat take the award.
Amongst the fashion category, top models Cybil Chowdhry and Abbas Jafri took the awards for best models while the ‘Best High Street Brand’ award went to Khaadi.
